Boxing Day Haul

I know this is a little late but all my items I bought online from Boxing Day have just arrived and I'm so happy so I thought I'd do a haul post! I was a little lazy to head down to the city or any Westfield shopping centres on Boxing Day because I know it would have been so packed and chaotic but I did manage to check out the sales at Werribee Plaza and bought a couple of things. Being the shopaholic that I am, I was a little disappointed with the lack of things I bought so I came home and surfed the web and found some really great deals without having to fight people for them so... yay! SCORE! In total, I scored 2 shorts, 2 muscle tanks, 2 crop tops, a pair of Jeffrey Campbells, and some jewellery from Lovisa.

I hope everyone has had a good first week of the new year! I'm really excited that one of my favourite tv shows is back on air tomorrow! Are there any American Horror Story: Coven fans here? This season is actually my favourite, both story and fashion wise. I just love the all black attire they don on from head to toe. So chic! Now that Christmas is done and dusted, the last major event of the year is nearing. I can't believe 2013 is almost finished and in three days, we will say hello to 2014. And to think the world didn't think we'd make it past 2012... Crazy! Since New Years Eve is our last chance to play dress up for the year, I thought I'd post some of my favourite party essentials to make sure you go out with a bang!

1. Sequins

Sequins are a sure fire way to glam up any outfit and is perfect for the holiday season! There isn't such a thing with feeling underdressed in sequins. Even with all the fireworks bursting up in the night sky, no one can take the shine away from you. Boohoo and Tobi have a wide range of sequinned items that are reasonably priced.

2. Velvet

I love this trend because velvet can make you look so feminine, elegant and regal all at the same time. What more can a girl ask for in an outfit? A truly great party outfit, I say! You can look like royalty without breaking the bank with great deals on Tobi and Missguided. 

3. Leather

Leather has been one of the biggest trends this year and it's a great party look because it's so versatile! Although leather falls more under the splurge category, a good leather piece is good value for money because again, it is versatile. When you put on a leather dress, top, skirt or even leggings, wether you style it up or down, it instantly makes you look edgy and sexy. If you would like to keep it under a budget, you can opt for faux leather which is just as stylish! Check out ASOS and Nastygal for chic leather clothing.

Christmas Chic

While most of the world are anticipating Christmas in festive sweaters, we residents of Australia are sweltering in almost 40 degree heat! Not a chance for knitted sweaters here. But hey, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! We get to show some skin and dance around without a heavy coat on our backs.
